The Joint Admission and Registration Board (JAMB) has de-listed 14 Computer Based Test (CBT) centres out of the 712 accredited due to infractions like technical hitch and deceit. Concise News reports that Prof. Ishaq Oloyede made this known when he led the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu on a visit to some CBT centres in Abuja during the mock examination. Oloyede says the 698 centres left in the operations were ready for the conduct of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Education (UTME) scheduled to hold between April 11 and April 15.

The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has listed 18 things the 1.8 million candidates sitting for the 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) from Thursday 11 April are prohibited from bringing to centres where the tests would take place. The prohibited items listed by an official of the Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB) are Wrist Watches, Pen/Biros, Mobile phones or similar electronic devices, Spy reading glasses, calculators or similar electronic devices, USB, CD, hard disks and or similar storage devices and books or any reading/writing material. Other banned items are Cameras, Recorders, Microphones, Earpieces, Ink/pen readers, Smart lenses, Smart rings/ jewellery, Smart buttons, Bluetooth devices, Automated Teller Machine (ATM) cards and Erasers.
10. JAMB Reveals Criteria For 2019 University/Polytechnic Admission
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has reiterated that admissions would be given only to qualified candidates who applied for courses into various institutions. JAMB made this known in reaction to reports that over 50 percent of candidates who apply yearly for admissions into various institutions were not admitted. The board revealed this in its Vol. 1, No 13 weekly Bulletin of the Office of the Registrar.
